The Secretariat

  • Kai Wong

    Secretary-General

Hey everyone! My name is Kai and I am thrilled to be one of your Secretary-Generals this year. Overall throughout the course of doing MUN, I have learned so many valuable skills that I will keep with me for the rest of my life and I hope to be able to give back to the community as much as I gained from it. No matter where I end up at, I will be sure to continue participating in conferences in college, treasuring the friendships already made through the program, and building new ones too. Alongside MUN, I am a Musical Theater Major and Dance Minor through the Academy of Performing Arts and an environmental advocate. In my free time, I love to swim, listen to kpop, play video games, watch horror movies, and hangout with my friends. Hope you have a great day!

  • Hera Poon

MUN has truly become an integral part of my high school experience and I will be forever grateful for what this program has taught me. I have newfound confidence, knowledge, experience, and life-long friendships that I would not have found anywhere else. MUN has shaped me into the person that I am today and I will always cherish the program and its community. Outside of MUN, I am involved in our city’s local politics and I am a tutor at Mathnasium! You might find me in a hot yoga class at Corepower, reading the Dune series, studying at cafés, or trying new restaurants with my friends.

  • Sienna Schoales

    Secretary-General

Hi all! I’m Sienna and it’s such a privilege to be serving as one of your Secretary-Generals. In an attempt to keep it short, MUN has been the most consequential class I’ve ever taken. It combines my love for learning, writing, history, blazers, and hearing myself talk. More than anything, the community within this program is unlike any other and I’m so lucky to be part of it. Along with MUN, I’m part of the Academy for the Performing Arts and Editorial Director of HBHS’s magazine, Slick. I love post-punk music, Liverpool F.C., travel, and my friends. I’m looking forward to a year of great conferences and providing the same eye-opening experiences I had with MUN during my freshman year. Special thanks to my parents for supporting me on this journey—the obsession still hasn’t gone away.

  • Chloe Nguyen

    Secretary-General

Hi! My name is Chloe and I am incredibly excited and honored to be one of your Secretaries-Generals this year. Being a part of MUN has opened my eyes to the world before me; it has allowed me to navigate global issues, discover innovative solutions, and embrace my enthusiasm for advocacy. I genuinely love and appreciate the community here with my whole heart and I wouldn’t be myself without them. Outside of MUN, I intern at an immigration law firm and run a teen publication at the Huntington Beach Public Library. I enjoy playing with my bunny, trying new restaurants and coffee spots, and thrifting.

I am also the President of the club Future First Responders of America (FFRA) and the Surfrider Foundation as well as Vice President of NHS and Link Crew. Outside of school, I love to go to the beach with friends, volunteer with NCL, and listen to music on sunset drives down PCH. I love to listen to songs from all years and genres, especially those from the 1960s to 1980s.

With the year ahead of us, I’m excited to impact the Freshman just as much as I was and spread the joy of being the most competitive and best Freshman period among all the classes.
